Sixteen completed forms were received by the deadline date: 7 for the Motto and 9 for the Logo.

Two of the judges identified for these competitions met in the BSS Director’s office on Tuesday, 2013/06/25 and selected the winning entries. These forms were submitted by the following persons:

  • For the winning Motto entry: Mr. Zerayaicob Yaicob;

The following cash prizes were offered for the winner of each competition (in Barbados):

The national winners will be announced on 5 July 2013 and the winning submissions will be forwarded to the CARICOM   Secretariat by 31 July 2013, relative to the regional competition for all CARICOM countries.

The Overall Winner will be announced at the Thirty-eighth Meeting of the Standing Committee of Caribbean Statisticians (SCCS) to be held at a venue to be determined, later in 2013.

ZERAYAICOB A. YAICOB (Motto Winner)

Zera Yaicob is an 11 year old pupil of The Rock Christian Primary. He recently sat the "Common Entrance" exam, performing very well to emerge as the top male student in the island.
